About Dalmeny Campground
Dalmeny Campground is a picturesque coastal escape, perfectly situated along the stunning South Coast of New South Wales.
Known for its relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking beachfront location, the campground provides a welcoming retreat for families, couples, and solo travelers.
The property was named ‘Dalmeny’ in early 1880s by Sydney businessman William Mort after his Eton school friend Lord Dalmeny; he was British Prime Minister (1894-95). William was a son of Thomas Mort who established Bodalla Estate to the north in 1860.
Dalmeny has been both a dairy and a sheep farm, but the 1920s saw adventurous holidaymakers venturing to Dalmeny and camping by Mummaga Lake. Many campers loved Dalmeny so much, they built homes here and stayed.
